CJ Rabinowitz

CJ started out as a consistent bench sitter for her New Vista High School Boy’s Volleyball team back in 2002. By the time she was a senior, she was a regular in their back row rotation as well as Co-Captain of the team. From there, CJ continued to play recreation volleyball at CSU until being surprised with a middle school coaching opportunity in 2010. She coached two winning seasons at Erwin Middle School while helping kick-start a new club team, LVBC in 2011.

Moving to the Western Slope in 2012 was a great pay off for CJ as she landed the Head Coach position for Ouray High School and improved their program over the next 4 years. She was also able to initiate an open gym Sunday schedule for Ouray locals to come and play Co Ed ball which has remained in place since her departure in summer of 2016. Returning to familiar ground, CJ has held both the C and JC team coaching position at Centaurus High School for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

As a coach, CJ is all about hard work, dedication to the program and teammates, and having fun. Conditioning, both mental and physical, is always a part of her practices. She works hard to promote a respectful and focused environment for her team and is open to communication from her athletes, their parents, and fellow coaches in order to improve the overall season experience.
